Coir Geotextiles

Coir geotextiles are best for controlling soil erosion and conditioning soil. Made from coir fibre, they are naturally resistant to rot and moulds and are cheaper than synthetic geotextiles. They hold soil in place and prevent erosion, dissipating the force of heavy rains and run of water. It provides good soil support for many years, allowing natural vegetation to become established. Coir geotextiles promote the growth of new vegetation by absorbing water and preventing the top soil from drying out.

With its strength and durability, it protects slopes and helps natural vegetation to take root. Coir geotextiles are available as woven meshes and nets in twine or yarn depending on the structural properties required. They have varying densities depending on their application. Over a period of time the eco friendly and biodegradable coir breaks down.

Coir Logs

Coir Logs are long knotted coir netting filled with coir fibre. Coir Twine & Yarn Geotextile Matting

(Coir Twine Matting)

Coir Yarn Geotextiles (CY Range) is a natural handwoven product designed for short-term erosion control. They can be woven into different mesh sizes and used for surface erosion control, such as creating silt fencing for construction sites.

Coir twine geotextiles are machine-spun and used for long-term erosion control. With a lifespan of five to six years, they allow vegetation to establish well during this period. Their high tensile strength makes them suitable for more challenging conditions, such as steep slopes and fast-flowing streams.
